Questions about the plans
Can we prepare the next tournament while one is running?
Yes. Prepare as many tournaments as you like: a plan counts only those that are running. On Event you prepare next month's tournament while this month's runs, and you need Club only when two run on the same days.
When does a tournament count against our plan?
While it runs: from the moment its match day begins, when the first court tablet or hall display joins or someone scores a match from Control, until its director closes it, whatever its dates. A tournament over several days counts once, with all its events and age groups.
What happens when we reach a limit?
Only adding the next tournament, court or display is refused. Scoring, results, Live and every device already joined keep working, whatever the plan.
What does a price cover?
One organization for a year, VAT included, however many staff, players and matches it has. Players, spectators and Live cost nothing.
How do renewal and cancelling work?
A paid plan renews every year. Cancel it at any time in the billing portal and it runs to the end of the year you paid for. Moving up takes effect at once, charged for the rest of the year; moving down takes effect from the next one. When a plan ends, your organization is back on Free and keeps everything it has.
What happens if our subscription ends during a tournament?
Its matches go on, since a plan never stops a match. Your organization is back on Free and keeps everything it has; it only cannot add more than Free allows.
How do we move to a larger plan?
You subscribe to a larger plan under Settings, Plan, and pay on Stripe's secure page; for Federation, write to [email protected]. Changing plans leaves everything you already run in place.
Is there a plan for more than 12 courts?
Write to [email protected]. A larger event gets an offer of its own, whoever runs it.
How do leagues work?
An association or federation runs its leagues, and a club can run one too, often a hobby league. League admins set the rounds, the fixtures and their details. Every club that enters a team needs the Club plan or larger, and there is no limit on leagues or teams.
What support is included?
On Event, support by email, answered within 3 business days; on Club, within 2. Federation is answered by email within 1 business day, and by phone during business hours. The free plan comes with the documentation and these answers.
What counts as a hall display?
A display is a view you set up in Control, showing the courts or the group standings you choose. You can show the same display on more than one screen.
What is our own web address?
Your tournaments and your Live page under your own name: an address under roundr.com, or a domain you own and point to Roundr once it is verified. You register the domain yourself; write to [email protected] to set up either.
What equipment do we need?
A laptop for the desk, a tablet or a phone for each court you want to score live, and any screens you want to use as displays. It all runs in a web browser, and a court without a tablet still works: its result is entered at the desk.
What if the hall's internet drops?
The court tablets keep scoring, save every point on the device and send everything once they are back online. The desk needs the network, so have a second way onto the internet ready, such as a phone’s hotspot tried in the hall beforehand, and print the score sheets and the order of play before play starts.
Can we keep using our ranking software?
Yes. Import entries and draws from CSV files, and export the confirmed results by draw to enter them there. The two are not kept in step automatically.
Can we try Roundr first?
Yes. The free plan costs nothing, and the demo scores a match in your browser right now, without an account.
